問：近來從事宣傳教育活動，這些活動英文是education and promotion activities還是educational and promotional activities？

答：英文名詞之前，一般可以加一形容詞或另一名詞，例如an education department（教育部門）、an educational institution（教育機構）、a promotion opportunity（升級機會）、a promotional campaign（有組織的宣傳活動）。什麼時候應用另一名詞修飾某個名詞，什麼時候應用形容詞修飾，沒有清晰常規可循。

至於讀者那個問題，有三點可以說。

第一，所說活動，宣傳的假如是教育，宜說education promotional activities；

第二，假如活動有教育以及宣傳作用，宜說educational and promotional activities；

第三，假如講明是某種教育和宣傳，則宜說education and promotion activities。
