問：以下兩句，一見《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》，一見《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》，為什麼idea之後，一句不用of，另一句卻用？

（1）Alice had no idea what Latitude was（愛麗絲不知道緯度是什麼）。

（2）She doesn't seem to have any idea of what I'm talking about（她似乎完全不知道我在說什麼）。

答：Idea一字之後，假如用what、where、how、when、whose等字帶出子句（clause），那麼，介系詞 of多會略去，但不略去也可以，例如：You can't have the slightest idea(of) how bad the situation is（你根本不可能知道情況多麼惡劣）。

和idea幾乎同義的notion，用法也是如此。《牛津高階》以下例句的of，也可略去：She had only a vague notion of what might happen（她只是隱約知道可能發生什麼事）。

問：小女是某幼稚園中國舞隊員，表格上課外活動欄，以下寫法哪個選擇正確？─ Members/ Dancers of the Chinese/Oriental Dance Team。

答：Oriental dance是「東方舞」，沒有Chinese dance（中國舞）那樣貼切。舞蹈隊員宜說member；假如是多個課外活動的成員，也仍然用單數形式的member，不用members，例如：Member of the Chinese Dance Team and Drama Club, ABC Kindergarten（ABC幼稚園中國舞隊員、戲劇組成員）。
