Hulking self-justification is, however, rarely an interesting literary form。

When he returned home from the war, he found his son had grown into a hulk of a young man / a hulking young man(他從戰場回鄉,發覺兒子已經是個高大的年輕人)。

That they organised their own march rather than joining the July 1 march was self-explanatory一語,那self-explanatory是什麼意思?

(1)The map is self-explanatory(這幅地圖本身很清楚,不必再解釋)。

(2)The June4 incident is a self-explanatory example of the Chinese Communist regime's policy towards the people(六四事件,是中共治民政策不言而喻的例子)。
