問：Let alone和not to mention之後的子詞（clause），可不可以不用that字帶出？

答：Let alone和not to mention，都有「更不要說」、「姑且不論」的意思，其後可用名詞、動詞、形容詞等，按上文而定，例如：

(1) I don't have a cent, not to mention / let alone a hundred dollars（我一分錢都沒有，更不要說一百元）。

(2) I can hardly straighten my legs, not to mention / let alone walk normally（我連腿都伸不直，更不要說正常行走）。

(3) The idea is impracticable, not to mention / let alone inhumane（這個主意不可行，而且不人道）。

以上三句，都有否定含義；假如沒有否定含義，則多用not to mention，例如：He has three cars, not to mention several motorbikes（他有三輛汽車，還有幾輛摩托車都不說了）。

Let alone和not to mention之後，還可以用that子句，那that字通常不會略去，但略去也可以，例如：I never expected that she would come, not to mention / let alone(that) she would come with her husband（我完全沒有想到她會來，更不要說和丈夫一起來）。
