問：Who's up for some rest and relaxation time?這一句，是什麼意思？

答：Up for有多個意思，上述句子那個up for是「有意參與（某事）」的意思，一般用於口頭，例如：

（1）Anyone up for a game of cards?（有沒有人想玩紙牌遊戲？）

（2）We are going for a drink. Are you up for it?（我們去喝杯東西，你有興趣一起去嗎？）讀者示下那一句是說：「誰人想去休息和鬆弛一下？」

問：Thus和therefore兩字，可以通用嗎？又以下一句三個寫法都正確嗎？──He did not have breakfast today morning, and thus he is hungry now / and is thus hungry now / and thus hungry now（他今天早上沒有吃早餐，現在肚子餓了）。

答：Thus可解作「如此」或「因此」，解作「因此」的thus可以和therefore通用，例如：The subway broke down. I was thus / therefore late for work（由於地下鐵路故障，我上班遲到）。留意thus很少用於口頭，有英語學者因此認為最好不用這個字，改用較自然的therefore，或用so、that way、for instance取代其他意思的thus。

至於讀者示下那一句，thus也可改為therefore，但兩字其實都不必用，句子意思自明。又「今天早上」是this morning，不可說today morning：「昨天早上」和「明天早上」則可說yesterday morning和tomorrow morning。句子下半截作and thus he is hungry now或and is thus hungry now都可以，卻不可不用動詞is。
