問：颱風信號掛起之後，發通告說「穿梭巴士颱風之下如常服務」，以下三個寫法，哪個正確？── Shuttle bus service operates/ is operating/will operate as normal under typhoon。

答：颱風期間貼出通告說穿梭巴士如常行走，英文可說Shuttle bus service is operating as normal during the typhoon。這一句，也可用於電臺、電視臺等颱風期間的報告。

Shuttle bus service operates as normal during a typhoon這一句，則宜見於旅館通告、旅遊指南等，指一般情況；而Shuttle bus service will operate as normal（或according to the normal timetable）during a typhoon這一句，則較合用於巴士公司的一般通告，和上一句一樣，不宜用於颱風期間發的通告。

問：一場原定四時開始的比賽，因颱風延期，三點鐘貼出延期通告，以下哪個寫法正確？── This match will be delayed/is delayed due to typhoon。

答：這通告無論是上午十時還是下午三時發出，都應說The match is postponed because of（或due to） the typhoon。「延期」譯做postpone應比delay好一點。

然則什麼時候才說The match will be postponed？按颱風將臨，主辦者開會商議對策，主席下決定時就可說：The match will be postponed。用will be表示臨時下的決定。
